Let It Snow

November 30, 2010 12:19 by Sung

Now that snowboarding season is in full effect, I can't wait to hit the slopes.  Next weekend I will be going up to Killington, VT for a weekend getaway.  I have my board all polished and waxed ready to go. I do not like winter, but this is the only thing that gets me going. One thing I need to prepare myself is to stay warm. With the wind gust and high elevation, conditions are going to be freezing.  It would be a great idea to stock up on these custom printed hand warmers. We also have a array of promotional winter coats that can be great corporate gifts.

It's Shopping Time

November 29, 2010 06:52 by Laurie

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is time for the Holiday shopping season! While I do most of my shopping online, there are certain things that I like to go to the store for. When in the mall,  I hate getting stuck a bunch of small plastic shopping bags. Whenever I am able, I condensce all of my small bags into a larger promotional tote bag that a store might give out. Having the promotional tote makes shopping and walking around much easier. Plus if it is a nice bag, I keep it and re-use it. So instead of giving out a plastic bag that someone will just throw out, give out a promotional tote that people can use and re-use in the future!

Christmas Shopping Time

November 24, 2010 04:10 by Sung

As Thanksgiving approaches, Christmas shopping is in full effect.  Like many others out there, I usually end up procrastinating until the very last moment to shop for things. This year I am trying to get all my shopping done towards mid December.  I usually do not have a list to go by, but this year I am trying to be more organized.  I have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  Some light snow on Christmas morning would make it a picture perfect day.  Here at Motivators we offer plenty of promotional holiday food gifts, as well as some nice corporate gifts. Keep your family and friends warm with our promotional fleece. I hope everyone has a safe and lovely Thanksgiving. Now let the shopping begin!

Jack-Pot-Luck!

November 23, 2010 04:51 by Adam

Those avid readers of this blog know that there are two ways to my heart. One, of course, is baseball. The other, is food. The more the merrier. So, today being the 2nd Annual Motivators Pot Luck Lunch makes today one of the merriest days of the year for me. Everyone here brings in one of their favorite dishes, either to cook or to eat. I have brought in a family recipe orzo. A rice type noodle, made with chicken broth and sweet peas. There will be all sorts of goodies like turkey, and stuffing and my favorite, pumpkin pie! There are a lot of mouths to feed here but with just about everyone bringing in something there should be plenty of leftovers. This is where a sometimes very overlooked promotional product comes in, promotional food containers. It is a great item to give away that people will use regularly and appreciate. More and more people nowadays are looking for ways to save money and cut corners. Bringing in your lunch everyday can save you $50 a week, $200 a month, $2,400 a year! And how much does our EZ Freeze Food Storage Container cost right now? $2.45 per piece. So the smart people around here will walk around today with their promotional food containers and put together tomorrow's lunch too.

Tis The Season...to RUSH

November 22, 2010 03:19 by Laurie

I am a planner, I like to have things in order and ready to go before I run out of time. Unfortunately not everyone has the luxury of time, and more often than not, our customers need their orders in a rush. Motivators offers a free one, two, three or five day rush on many of our products. We try our hardest to reach our customers events on time, especially during this hectic Holiday season when corporate gifts are a must! So before you give up on ordering your promotional products because you don't think you have enough time, make sure you take a look at our custom rush section on the site!

brrrr.. it's cold in here!

November 17, 2010 13:38 by Ali

Days like today remind me that it is time to retire my imprinted cold beverage travel cups and break open one of those promotional stainless tumblers. While I walk from my car in the parking lot to the front door of our office the wind blows chills through my body and I truely appreciate a nice warm cup of coffee. Instead of going to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts every morning, I like to use my Promotional Curvy Tumbler. Not only does it keep my coffe hot, but it also has a large imprint area for great brand exposure! This is a great give-a-ways that I hope to receive many more of throughout the Holiday Season :)

Black Friday/Cyber Monday

November 17, 2010 04:25 by Sung

Its that time of the year again. These two days are one of the biggest day for retailers. Whether you are going to a store, or shopping online, you will see huge discounts and bargains. I personally stay away from going out because the madness is just too crazy.  Last year I went to a outlet on black friday, and ended up waiting in the parking lot for 3 hours.  So this year, I will be doing my shopping online. Motivators will also be participating in Cyber Monday.  So anyone who is looking for anything from promotional bags to promotional drinkware, monday is the day to shop. Our promotional holiday food gifts section has alot of items that can be great gifts for anyone.

My Car Is Growing Up Before My Eyes

November 17, 2010 03:49 by Adam

My baby is getting so old. It feels like just yesterday I left my Nissan Altima in the Toyota parking lot and drove out my brand new Toyota Corolla. I drove it to the diner across the street, wasn't even half a mile away. Since that cold February day (maybe January?) it seems I have now driving it 10,000 miles. Surely, there are many more to come, and most would laugh at a 10,000 mile milestone as many people have cares at 50, 60, and 70 thousand miles or more. Nonetheless, this is my first none pass-me-down car so I certainly enjoy watching the odometer crawl up (though not to far up...it is a lease). The point is, people love their cars. That's why we offer promotional products to give out to the car nut in all of us. Maybe a promotional tire gauge to make sure the tires are well inflated or a promotional sunshade to make sure the seats and dashboard don't get to hot. Maybe you really want to take good care of your car and don't trust a professional car wash. Well, we have promotional car wash kits for all of the people that feel if you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself. I have enjoyed these 10k miles and here is to two more years of not going over 12k miles!

Pens Keep Me Organized

November 15, 2010 03:59 by Laurie

For the most part I type all through the day 9-5:30 constantly. However, I also write notes, jot down messages, and need to edit things that I may have typed. For my day to day writing I use my favorite promotional pen, the Uniball Jetstream, a Motivators staff favorite. For taking down voicemails I opt for my promotional gel pen that happens to write in orange. And of course for when I am fixing credit card information I go to my trusty promotional pen Jetstream in red ink. My system keeps me nice and organized, so I would recommend to everyone to have a few promotional pens at their desk!

Winter is Almost Here

November 12, 2010 09:44 by Daniel

Winter is right around the corner, and I am not the slightest bit pleased. Winter is my least favorite season, as I am sure it is for many other people, especially up here in New York. My tolerance for the winter weather is extremely low, and though I don't mind the cold or the snow, it is the brutal winds that get to me. This time around I am going to be much more prepared than I ever was before. I have learned that instead of complaining about the cold weather, I need to do something about it. With the help of several promotional products, I am confident that this winter I will be able to get through with minimal inconvenience.

One of the most important things you can do during the winter is layering your clothing. I just recently discovered that tucking your shirt into your pants can prevent that nasty draft from creeping up your body. I also don't wear a jacket most of the time, and leave my house wearing a T-shirt - so I guess I can't complain! But like I said, this winter will be different. I am going to start layering with one of my promotional T-shirts and then wear one of my custom sweatshirts on top. By throwing a jacket on top, I hope to break some of the harsh winds and be able to keep my body temperature up.

Now while maintaining sanity in the outdoors can be a feat, spending time indoors during the winter is much more enjoyable. I am going to going to spend plenty of time this winter sitting by the fireplace in my house, drinking a nice cup of hot cocoa out of my promotional mugs. This is the nice romanticized version of winter that everyone thinks of including myself, so I have to make sure that I maximize the fun winter activities like this. Then my perspective on the cold weather can change somewhat, and I will be much more appreciative of the months between December and March.

I am not a huge client for some major company, so I cannot expect to receive any lavish winter gifts this season. But by getting along on my own during the winter, I can still have plenty of fun; and before I know it the birds will be chirping again!
