Have you tried Gel?

August 27, 2012 04:14 by Laurie

At this company, we write a lot. We write all day, and we are very particular about our pens. For the most part we write in blue ink, (shows better against all the black and white print outs) and hoard pens that we like. Currently I am on a gel pen kick. I love how smooth they write, and my handwriting doesn't look as sloppy! I particularly love the Paper Mate Breeze Gel Pen. It has a comfortable grip, and comes in blue ink. I find myself doodling and writing in script for fun. So if you are liked us here at Motivators, try out different pens, you might find something new you love!

A+ Customer Service @ Monsoon

March 28, 2012 06:31 by Olha

This weekend I had dinner with my cousin, just to catch up in between our busy lives. I made reservations at Monsoon in Babylon for friday night at 7:15pm (busy place since this was the only seating left for the night). We were very pleased with the food, drinks and service from our waiter. But what really put it over the top for us was when a waitress came over and said we have to leave our table because another party was coming in, we thought that was fair since we were done and just sitting their chatting, but then she proceeded to apologize and sent us to the bar for some free drinks. The drinks at Monsoon are a bit pricy, so we couldn't turn down a free drink. This place had great music, freindly staff and I noticed tons of promotional items that they use such as pens, promotional coasters, and logoed wine glasses. It felt great to be appreciated and I would reccomend this place to everyone.

Anything Goes on St. Patrick's Day

March 21, 2012 10:32 by Dan

I don't know about you, but I am really enjoying this unseasonably warm March weather. It makes you want to go and see what the world has to offer. In fact, the weather could not have at a more perfect time, because this past weekend was St. Patrick's Day. This year, it was on a Saturday, so many people were in Manhattan to enjoy the parade and all the bars the city had to offer. I was also in the city that day, but for another reason. For my girlfriend's birthday, I had gotten her tickets to the Broadway play "Anything Goes", and the tickets just so happened to be for the performance on St. Patrick's Day.

For those of you who don't know, "Anything Goes" is a Broadway revival and a three time Tony Award winning show. The story involves wild antics aboard a cruise ship bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with an heiress named Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, who is also a good friend of Billy's, and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The play is filled with plenty of dancing, choreography, and tons of humor.

The show was actually better than I expected. It was funny, the choreography was spot on, and the singing was entertaining. I am not one for musicals, but I did enjoy this one a lot. Our seats were great, too. We were six rows from center stage, which only added to the great experience we had. The "icing on the cake" for the evening would be that sitting right in front of us was comedic legend Jerry Lewis. Unfortunately, he was not in much a mood to be dealing  with any fans. He came in right before the lights dimmed out, was escorted to and from his seat by staff of the theater, and left the theater from a special exit. What a shame too because I enjoy his work and would love to have gotten a picture with him, or even an autograph, instead of settling for the candid shot you see above. I even had one of my custom printed pens with the "Anything Goes" logo in my hand, but I just wasn't able to get the autograph. None-the-less, we had an amazing time in the city, which is just one of many we will have.

An Ode to Post-It Notes

January 31, 2012 05:26 by Dan

Oh promotional adhesive pads, where would we be without you and your trusty side kick, the promotional pen? Both are a staple in anyone's home or office. They provide a valuable service, plus are an excellent promotional item.

Post-It notes, you provide us the perfect opportunity to share important information. Your sticky background weathers many daily abuses, while holding on dearly to the document you were affixed to. You are the messenger of changes and alterations. You can deliver good news, or bad. You provide us with a chance to change and correct our ways. You are also there in a pinch, in a bind, and even when we need you on the fly. You provide a blank slate to brand a logo and provide contact information. You are a reminder for the forgetful, and a holder of important information. You and your trusty side kick, the promotional pen, go hand-in-hand...literally!

However, what most people don't realize is that you are a canvas. You're a blank page waiting to be used. You are the beginning of something creative, and you can allow the imagination to run wild. You give the opportunity to people like my friends and co-workers, Kati and Nicole, to allow their creative juices to flow. Without you their work wouldn't be proudly displayed in my cubicle, or be seen below. Thank you ladies, it's greatly appreciated and very sweet.

So Post-It notes and pens, you hold a special place in our hearts. You may be taken advantage of, and taken for granted. But you are never forgotten, and you will always be by our side.

Black Friday Shopping

November 23, 2011 04:08 by Sung

In my previous post I had mentioned of strickly E-shopping for black friday. However upon seeing the best buy doorbuster deals, it seems like I will be waiting on line. Not what I wanted, but those doorbuster prices were out of this world. I'm hoping after a early thanksgiving dinner I will still be the first 10 people on the line. Best buy claims the door buster deals are 10 per store. Athought its going to suck waiting for so long, I am hoping the end result will be worth the wait. If you are someone who strictly shops online, Motivators has some great black friday/cyber monday deals on promotional flash drives, promotional water bottles, custom printed pens, and custom printed executive gifts. I want to wish everyone here at Motivators and happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Back To School

I always enjoyed the beginning of school. Everything is new and exciting. My favorite part was going to the store and buying new school supplies. The smell of a fresh customized notebook, a clean personalized pencil case, imprinted pens that have never been used, and my personal favorite...a new custom backpack! I love the feel and smell of a new backpack or any customized bag for that matter. Every year I would look forward to picking out new personalized bags for school and for soccer. That is why Motivators is the perfect place for me to work! I am able to order new customized bags and promotional items every day!

pens pens pens

Pens are everywhere; atms, banks, retail stores, coffee shops, co-worker's desk, etc.. Usually in my travels I accumulate many pens, by the end of the day I usually have at least 1to put in my kitchen drawer.  My collection usally has a mish mosh of local stores or banks that have branded them for promotional purposes.  I don't try to make it a game of collecting different pens, they just seem to migrate towards me.  I still have an "In and Out Burger" pen that I aquired on my recent trip to San FranLaughing.   The cost of pens and the great imprint area and the opportunity for such publicity you cant go wrong.  We have some great pens for under a $1 that you can use for your next event.

I needed it Yesterday

Of course he does, they all do.  Promotional products are often bought last minute right before the event starts. I'd say upwards of 70% of my calls are rush orders needed within 1 week.  Luckily we offer a large selection of promotions on our rush service. Monday I get a call from a customer, he tells me he is looking for a quality pen under $1.00 which he needs in his hands this Friday in Washington State.  First thing I immediately think of is the Bic Clic Stic. It fit his criteria perfectly.  This item is excellently priced under $1.00, available on the rush service and it’s a Bic item so the quality is obviously there. It has a huge selection of barrel and trim colors so I knew he could definitely find a color he liked. It offers a very fast rush service and can ship 1 business day after proof approval.  Turns out he liked the item; he loved that he could have them in time for his event.  He said he had called 2 other companies but they were not able to help him out.  I told him I was happy to assist and feel free to contact me directly for any assistance with any future promotion.
