This week Massachusetts is getting hit with a heat wave. And, as a typical Mass. resident, I've learned to never take the weather reporters seriously. They say a snowstorm is coming and we are getting like a foot and it turns out to be three to five inches.
This week they said we were going to hit 90+-degree temperatures. We were just coming off a few days of rain and it is June, too early to get really hot.
The A/C window units were in storage and the fans were as well. Today they were right: it hit 100 degrees at 2:00 p.m., just in time for my lunch break. Needless to say I took full advantage of my closet full of embroidered apparel.
I felt like I had more costume changes today than a Cher concert. But I was smart enough to find a performance polo that was branded from a past golf tournament I played in.
