A Promotional Resolution!

January 2, 2009 05:29 by Tony

Ok, let me first say that I am typing my blog alot slower due to the fact that I ate so much over the past couple weeks for the holidays. My new years Resolution has been to change my eating habits, and start being more nutrition conscious. Although I and millions of other Americans, North Americans, Asians, Africans, well the whole Planet enjoys goin to McDonalds and other fast food establishments every once in a while, they are a leading cause of what I like to call "fat". I know it's a term some of us may of never heard before but it's true. So besides eating better, and continuing to go to the gym, i will probably toss on one of those promotional pedometers, and start using a workout journal to track my progess. Although these items make great trade show giveaways, they will be my tools for my Resolution!

Did Somebody Say Tradeshow?

December 29, 2008 03:41 by Tony

Right now the buzz word everywhere is "Trade show". Twas the season for Christmas, now Tis the season for trade show giveaways. Now that all the decorations are being put away for next year, and all of presents are either being worn or returned everyone is focusing on what giveaways to use at this years trade shows. With the current state of our economy and country as a whole, there is no doubt that you will see a decrease in attendance at most tradeshow. Therefore, it will be important to make sure that your giveaway creates buzz not only at the trades how, but also when the attendees go home they are still talking about it with co-workers and friends. A product that has this kind of appeal is the Morph Ball. The Morph Ball is a great in expensive product which starts out as a white ball, and then once you toss it up in the air it changes over to black. It's fun easy to use, and get's alot of attention at trade shows. My favorite part about this item is that you can put the imprint in black on the white side and then black on the white side and it appears as though your logo morphs as well.

Kanye Fights Back!

June 26, 2008 06:57 by Tony

Ok, so it's no big surprise to my friends and family that i'm a big Kanye West Fan!  And I was highley disappionted when I was unable to get to his  "Glow - In - The - Dark" Tour at Madison Square Garden earlier this year. (The concert Sold Out, and I refused to pay the scalper Nazi's $200+ for a ticket that only cost $50.) Then I had heard he was taking his show to this year's Bonnaroo Festival. For those of you that don't know, Bonnaroo is a mostly rock oriented/hippie concert out in TN. Apparently During the show Kanye had an estimated start time of some where around 2:45am, and ended up going on at 4:45. Fans began to chant "Kanye Sucks" and pelted the stage with Promotional Glow Sticks as well as beer bottles. Needless to say, it wasn't the most fantastic performance, and he has been facing much harsh criticizm for it lately. On his blog at kanyewestuniversity.com, he decided to take a bite back, and was quoted in saying

"... this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life. This is the most offended I've ever been... this is the maddest I ever will be."

He goes on to discuss how Pearl Jam was had gone on an hour late, and how the heads of the festival couldn't decide if his grandious stage would even fit, and how they tried to put him on during the day. (how does a glow in the dark concert work during the day light...duh!!) I applaude him for standing up for himself, and think they should just leave Kanye alone, and maybe next time throw something softer like promotional glow in the dark stressballs. Also on a happy ending, he has reschedule 2 more shows at the last leg of the tour at MSG, and I GOT TICKETS!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!

Mission Hockey is on a Mission

June 24, 2008 06:32 by Tony

Mission Hockey is on a mission to increase their awareness and sales. Recently Mission Hockey Company has run a campaign featuring a promotional giveaway of a free Mission Titanium Stick with the purchase of any pair of Fuel 120-AG, Fuel 120-XP, Fuel AGX, or Fuel 100 AG skates. Personally I am HUGE hockey fan, and I'm really excited by this promotion. For 1 I really enjoy the curve of the Mission Titanium Sticks and use this stick as much as possible. The design of the stick makes it last alot longer than other sticks, which is always good. I have to be honest, right now i'm using a RBK Synergy since my Mission broke, but it doesn't compare. Also because the new Fuel Skates are a great buy. The new Fuel 120-AG allows for better power transfer, which translates to me being able to skate faster. What can I say I'm a big guy and need all the help I can get! I ordered my pair and my stick, so hopefully, I'll be scoring some more goals in no time. The only thing missing now are some promotional hockey pucks that I can put in the back of the net.

Friday is MY Day!

April 25, 2008 03:49 by Tony

Did you ever have one of those days where you wake up and just feel like, "Hey, Today is really going to be my day!"? I have that day once a week. For me it's Not Mondays. Cause let me tell you I always wake up with a case of the "Mundays". It's not really Tuesday, because to me Tuesday is just a repeat of Monday, a sequel if you will. Wednesday, Ha, I still don't know why it's Hump Day, it always feels like slump day! Thursday is good, but it's more of a tease, because I’m just not there. But my Day is Friday. It's not just the waking up, it's not that morning shower, it's not even that delicious French Vanilla Iced Coffee Light and Sweet in the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins custom plastic cups to start the day. It's the anticipation! I don't look forward to just the weekend, the possibility of nice weather and relaxation, I look forward to that refreshing, ice cold, frost beverage that will be waiting for me at Happy Hour! Now let me just say, Happy Hour must be done in moderation for your safety and the safety of others. However, the idea of getting inexpensive Ice Cold Beers, and some delicious food, and fun times with friends on that Final day of the week is excellent. The feeling of a job well done. The feeling of accomplishment at the end of a hellish trek from Monday to Friday! But most of all, the camaraderie between you and your co workers that makes it all worth while. So when your clock hits about 6pm today (providing it's Friday) think of me, and know, It's Friday....My Day!
