My work here in prep requires a lot of computations and calculations. I’m not completely comfortable using the calculator installed on my computer because I don’t like the idea of changing screens every time I need to get the figures from my sheet.

Good thing I have my ever-reliable promotional calculator handy always. It has a big screen to make viewing easier, large buttons for my fat fingers that makes computing easy (sometimes I don't even have to look at the numbers!), and of course a more accurate result than doing the math in my head (I sometimes don’t trust my math).

My calculator also has a dual-power feature which automatically uses solar power when I’m in a bright room or outdoors. This saves battery which makes it a very eco-friendly device.

I believe that whatever field you're in -- whether it's accounting, sales, IT, industrial, medical, graphics etc. -- numbers and computations are going to be part of what you do. This past Thursday January 26th, Ken, Laura, Samantha and myself attended the SAAGNY winter showcase 2012.  The plethora of trade show items were amazing.  Any promotional product you could think of was there.  Any item you may want imprinted they had on display.  It really makes you think about how many of these items you come in contact with every single day.  We all had a great time walking the show and are looking forward to selling many of these item to our customers!

Tis the season for traveling for my wife and I.  We love the winter.  Unlike most people in the Northeast that head to the warmer weather climates we head to the pacific northwest in search of BIG POW, aka alot os fluffy snow .  I just pulled our snowboard travel bags from storage to get them ready for our upcoming trip.  Everything was fine but our custom luggage tags.  They were the free paper ones that you get at the check in counter.  This year I planned ahead and got some custom luggage tags guarenteed to be able to spot our luggage and last for many more trips to come.  I was able to get a couple of our promotional explorer Luggage Tags.  These are great hard plastic pieces with a protective cover for the written information.  

Our very own, Adam Brown has decided to opt for eco-friendly promotional products. He recently decided to purchase the promotional solar charger pack that recharges the solar way with 6 different adaptors including a USB connector. Not only is he saving lots of money on electric bills and has charging on the go, but he is being environment-friendly. My goal is to get myself one of these great promotional products and be "green".

With the holiday shopping rush in full affect, I am here to remind everyone about our favorite furry friends. Pets are an important part of the family too, and they enjoy finding presents under the tree just as much as humans do. Every year I make sure to buy promotional pet products for my dog, my uncles cat, and my brothers 2 dogs. The dogs love the promotional dog safe flyer, and the cat appreciates the promotional recycled pet litter scoop. One glance at my promotional calendar and I realize I am behind schedule on my Christmas shopping.  I normally enjoy shopping but not at this time of year.  I am like a deer in the headlights at the mall especially if I do not have a specific gift in mind.  My sister, our hippie tree hugger, is easy to buy for as long as it's Eco-Friendly Promotional Products, she is happy.  One year I bought her a kitchen top compost bin (yuk) and she was thrilled!  Teenagers are not so easy to please.  First of all everything they really want is too expensive...i-pad, mac-book pro...trips to Florida.  Really this is what they asked for this year.  I hate to dissapoint them at Christmas, but NO.  It's not so much about the money....but the loss and eventual destruction of said electronic item.  Between 2 girls we have gone through 5 digital cameras, and probably 8 phones.  Current i-phone has shattered screen which is not a problem according to my daughter.  I can just use MY upgrade to get her a new i-phone since she is not eligible for an upgrade for over a year. So how to shop without breaking the bank and upsetting my little angels Christmas morning?  I have no idea....but I will try....

I still cannot believe it! My younger brother is turning 10 on Friday December, 9th! He of course is very excited and is always a years ahead of his actual age (thinks he is turning 11). My mom and I on the other hand are ready to burst into tears at how fast he is growing up.

In celebration of this amazingly handsome, smart, young man who is entering the double digits, we are having a birthday party on Saturday. This Turkish culture we have, the birthday is not just for kids, but the mothers are invited too. My mom has already started cooking and baking all this yummy Turkish food. We ordered the  birthday cake from our favorite bakery up the block from the house and I ordered the promotional gifts from Motivators.com for the kids goody bags. According to Fox Business, "In a Cyber Monday deal sure to raise some eyebrows, Richard Branson’s Virgin America is offering a deal on deals site Gilt City to take a round-trip flight for 146 people -- and name one of the company’s planes -- for $60,000." The site, which rivals Living Social and Groupon, invited consumers to book a round-trip flight to any nonstop domestic location yesterday. 

Abby Lunardini, a Virgin America spokesperson, told Fox Business that the promotional gift is real: "We think it’s a unique once-in-a-lifetime gift for Gilt's holiday gift list." What do you think -- would you dish out over $50k to have your own plane for a day?

I must admit, I am not the most "eco friendly" person. I tend to leave lights on when I leave a room, and keep the water running while I brush my teeth (yes I do get scolded). However, I do TRY! I recycle and use energy effiecient light bulbs. I even bought everyone eco-friendly promotional products for Christmas. After months of anticipation, I finally receieved my brand new iphone 4s last week. I absolutely love everything about it!  I have been an iphone owner for 4 years and when my iphone 3gs burnt out in June, I had to use my mom's old Nokia until my upgrade.
