There's nothing better than watching your favorite celebrities go head-to-head for a good cause.
On Thursday, big names like Edward Norton and Eva Longoria are scheduled to participate in a one-of-a-kind "Words With Friends" tournament that will benefit their favorite causes. According to the AP, superstar players will vie for $500,000 from American Express to donate to the charity of their choice.

Zynga Inc. senior vice president of mobile, Travis Boatman, told the AP that the idea for such a tournament was developed "some time ago when it became apparent that the game was a hit among celebrities." (Remember when "30 Rock" actor Alec Baldwin got kicked off a plane for refusing to stop playing?)
Unfortunately everyday people like you and me won't be invited to the star-studded promotional awareness event.
But don't feel too bad -- Baldwin didn't make the cut either. Ouch!
