Returning to the office after a day off is really throwing off my Friday mode. Yesterday I took a personal day to celerabrate a religious holiday (Eid) celebrated by Muslims- in my case the Muslim Turks! Eid- also called Feast of the Sacrifice that is ongoing for 4 days. Yesterday was the 1st day for us and we had a huge breakfast planned with a few family friends. Everyone was dresses up very fancy and after breakfast we went out to visit other families houses and eat eat and eat all day long. We do not have any gift exchaning. But the kids collect money from the adults. Sometimes I wish I was a kid still. My little brother made almost $300 in one day! Not bad for a 10 year old. We are continuning the celebration until Sunday night. Today we are having a large dinner at grandma's house with the whole family. I will continue on my celebration with my girlfriends- having a sleep over before our one friend is moving back to Turkey next week :(. Saturday we are heading to Brooklyn with the family to visit friends there. I am hoping Sunday will be a relaxing day for me so i can get back into work mode for Monday.
