Honey, why does the counter top keep electrocuting me?

With talk in an earlier blog regarding the CES show in Las Vegas, I thought I would share a little product I saw covered at the show that I think is incredible and, assuming it doesn't start to kill people, may very well revolutionize the way we power our devices.  The product is known as Powermat and it charges devices just by making contact with them.  This material can apparently also be installed as countertops, walls, ceilings, etc.  For example, imagine you have a countertop in your kitchen made of this Powermat material.  You take your cell phone out of your pocket, place it on the counter top, it begins to charge.  You take out your blender to make one of your amazing protein shakes, it doesn't even need to be plugged in. This is a very exiting technology because it is a giant leap towards have a compltely wireless home.
