I'm a pretty big fan of Instagram, the app that allows you to turn any boring, old photo into a masterpiece thanks to a collection of pre-made filters. But over the weekend my friends introduced me to a new photo-sharing app that I believe blows its predecessor out of the water: Cinemagram.
You may be wondering, "What the heck is the difference?" Be prepared to be amazed, my friends. Cinemagram allows you to create moving images (or gif animations). Watch this video to see how it works:
As you can see, it's fairly simple to use. As of right now, it's only available for the iPhone, but I'm sure there will be an Android version soon enough. Also check out a Cinemagram I actually made while watching the "Paranormal Activity 4" trailer:

P.S. The app runs super-fast on the latest iPhone. But be careful! I accidentally dropped mine while trying to shoot a particularly tricky image. (Thank goodness it's protected with my new hardcase for the iPhone 5!)
