The BBC reported yesterday that UK health officials have found strong evidence that a new virus, similar to Sars, may spread from person to person. One UK man may have caught the infection from a family member.
Where has the new virus come from? According to the BBC, the source is still unknown. However, most believe that the Sars-like virus may have come from an animal, as it "does appear to be closely related to a virus in bats." Pretty scary stuff.
Although nobody's calling it a pandemic just yet, I'm still holding onto my hand sanitizer for dear life.
