What's the best part about autumn? Some might argue it's the changing of the leaves or the cool, crisp air. But for me it's all the promotional campaigns involving free food!
Indeed, the best kind of fall giveaway (in my opinion, at least) is a treat I don't have to pay for. Time magazine reports that several restaurants and stores will be giving away complimentary chow this autumn. Let's take a look:
- Today (Thursday, September 20) is Customer Appreciation Day at Carvel. Visit the ice cream chain between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and you'll receive a Jr. Bonnet free of charge. How sweet is that?
- Everyone's favorite fast-food spot, McDonald's, will be celebrating National Coffee Day by giving away free coffee -- not just for one day, but for an entire week. The promotion will run from September 23 to 29.
- Participating Krispy Kreme locations will join in on Coffee Day merrymaking too. On September 29, consumers can snag a 12 oz. coffee on the house.
