Spamish

This past weekend was the best weekend ever.  I do not think I will be able to top it for the rest of the summer.  I spent the Friday through Sunday in Pennsylvania at my parent's house.  I went up Thursday night with my best friend Maria and my niece Ally. For the last 4 years I spent the 4th of July in PA at the Breezewoods Proving Grounds track.  We usually have a BBQ a couch race, fireworks and various other activities. 

  This year my dad and I decided to enter the couch race.  My dad cannot do anything little.  So for the last two months he has been building the ultimate couch. He took a $10.00 couch and put a about $200 of steel to reinforce it. He built up a whole trailer and axel and put the couch on wheels. He did not even show anyone, in fear that his design would be stolen. So the race was on Friday night so it left me and my dad only a few hours to practice Friday morning.  The test runs went perfectly. 

To complete our couch we decided to dress Amish.  My dad is obsessed with the Amish.  He tells me once a week that he will convert. But he says since he is Spanish he will create his own sect and name is Spamish.  Hence the name of our couch.   Everyone at the track had to take a double look.  People didn't know if we were really Amish or not.  And them when the race started we surprised everyone again by being the fasted couch on the track.  We were fan favorite. Nothing can top that night!
