The public won't see the last film in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy until Friday, but some are already lashing out at critics who have posted negative reviews.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The aggregating Web site RottenTomatoes.com suspended user comments on movie reviews of The Dark Knight Rises after commenters reacted harshly to negative reviews of the film and made profane and threatening remarks about the critics who wrote them."
The site's editor-in-chief, Matt Atchity, told Entertainment Weekly that it was the first time RottenTomatoes.com has ever had to suspect user comments, explaining that the task of monitoring comments became "more than my staff could handle." Furthermore, the comments were posted by individuals who hadn't even seen the movie yet.
RottenTomatoes.com is contemplating switching to a Facebook commenting system, Atchity said, in hopes that it will elminate anonymous feedback.
Still, the website plans to restore its commenting system on "The Dark Knight Rises" by the end of the week.
Will you see Nolan's final Batman movie this weekend?
