Did you know that of the 285 million visually impaired people worldwide, 80 percent don't have to be? Proper glasses, surgery and/or treatment can restore vision for many who thought they'd never see again. But it can't be done without your help.

That's why California-based shoe and eyewear company TOMS supports World Sight Day -- a global initiative aimed at changing "the way the world sees" -- which takes place today, Oct. 11, 2012. How exactly is TOMS getting involved? The company has partnered up with organizations like the Seva Foundation to offer free prescription glasses, surgery and/or medical treatment worldwide for every pair of glasses it sells.

If you want to be a part of this fantastic promotional awareness event, simply visit TOMS Eyewear and start shopping!

Hate buying glasses without trying them on? No worries! TOMS offers "Virtual Try-On" which allows you to upload a photo and see what style looks best without having to leave your computer. Awesome!
